Need more pillows on bed, more helpful staff, healthier continental breakfast
The convenience in the French Qtr., it could facilitate bike rentals and cost.
beds were a little broken down.
I loved that it is in a quiet part of the French quarter. The hotel had everything I needed for a weekend trip
Close to Bourbon street and in a lovely surrounding.
Breakfast is a bad joke....
Bedroom was much warmer than the living room area.
Location was excellent. Price was very good. Room was nothing to brag about, but for the location and price you could not have had a better deal. Would definitely stay there again. Oh almost forgot the coffee and pastries were wonderful.
Friendly staff and on the edge of the Quarter without all the noise and business of the Quarter.
No coffeepot in rooms. I carry my own coffee with me and was unable to drink it.
I like that it was walking distance to Bourbon Street. Also, the people I came in contact with was friendly.
The only thing I didn't like about the hotel was that I didn't have access to a broom, dustpan, and an iron and ironing board.
Cosy friendly atmosphere in walking distance to nightlife and shops,
Parking is a bit expensive in the nieghbourhood as hotel doesn't have car park.
The staff was great, they were very helpful and knowledgeable of the area. The continental breakfast was good, there was bagels, muffins and other assorted bread items. We were upgraded to a suite, which we loved. It was very comfortable and antique. I will definitely stay here again. The location was perfect, great price and great service.
There is no internet, which I was told when I booked, but that was all.
Location to bourbon street was great, but that was about it.
The best no doubt is the location IF you are a lover of jazz. Preservation Hall is a ten minute walk away, music halls are at your doorstep. The quaint balcony is a delight if you are lucky enough to have a room opening from it.
Well, the place is nearly derelict but I think this is part of the charm. Locks, toilets, doors may not work but the staff are happy to help you out.
The staff was fantastic. They were extremely welcoming and ready to help us out with any and all of our questions from the room to how to get around the city, all the way to printing out directions for us so we didn't get lost on our way back to the train station. The location was also excellent. It was close to Burbon and near the action of the evening, but still far enough that it wasn't loud. It was such a quaint hotel and if we had been in any of the other rooms I bet it would have been an even better experience. The location was tops! French Quarter in a sweet quaint hotel, close to Bourbon, safe area.. what more could you ask for?
The hotel was overall clean, however our sheets were very thin and had hair on them (supposably from the room cleaners). We also didn't have a window in our room. It is however, a 300 year old building so this is understandable. If you avoid room 32 I think you will have a lovely experience! :)
We had a few problems with our room. Being very cold heater not working and bathroom very dirty under matt but the staff was very friendly and immediatly addressed the issues.
The location to the French Quarter.
There's no central air or heat. Only window units (to cool) and small space heaters to warm. It was cold and we had to switch rooms due to the space heater tripping the breaker. I enjoyed the old building and we're from not far from here, so we're used to the local New Orleans history in these buildings. You're not in the room much when you're visiting, so that won't keep us from using them again if the rates are reasonable!
